Who we are *
Hello, my name is Tiffany Novotnak, and Miel Creativo is the legacy I am building with purpose, love, and intention.
My journey toward this work really began in 2018, when I volunteered in Nicaragua and led art classes for a rural, underpriveledged school. Coming from San Diego, it’s easy to forget the depth of our own good fortune, but being welcomed by that school with so much gratitude, and despite so few resources, shifted something in me. Watching children light up at the sight of simple art supplies, and seeing a meal of rice and beans cherished with joy, was a profound awakening. It made me ask myself: What can I do to leave a meaningful mark on this world? Who am I meant to serve?
I have always believed in the power of art. Art can soften trauma, build confidence, spark imagination, and create connection where it’s needed most. Over time, my heart has shown me exactly where I’m being called: to bring the healing energy of creativity to the orphanages and women’s shelters of Nayarit—places filled with resilience and stories that deserve to be honored.
Miel Creativo is my promise to those communities: to show up with compassion, to create opportunities for expression, and to use art as a bridge toward a brighter future.
I invite you to join me on this journey. Together, we can uplift and inspire, with creativity and with community.
